Through my experience in strategy, I’ve grown to understand the importance of data analysis in assessing business opportunities and risks. Today, I see the progress of AI as the endgame of all Big Data trends we saw rising in the last 15 years.

We’re progressing to a future where generating insights and building recommendations won’t take any time, improving performance in delivering higher value to a wide range of stakeholders, no matter the size of the projects.

Although there’s a lot to be discussed about AI systems, specially from a data quality and system neutrality perspectives, what I appreciate the most is the ongoing discussion about the human-AI synergy that is already optimizing parts of the intellectual work and creative tasks in the offices.

How are we going to reposition ourselves in the face of a tech disruption that is expected to further automate mundane tasks and optimize intellectual work? For starters, we need to understand what it is and learn how to leverage. Then, we can start being synergic with it.

A tool available in real-time and on-demand

There’s no time like the present to have infinite access to information. Better yet, in a form of an assistant with which you can discuss different topics and ask any question.

In the workspace, AI is getting integrated into systems and reading company data for future translation into actionable insights, in real-time and on-demand. Once fully developed, it will be a real game changer for industries data and time dependent.

For example, in entertainment field, highly dependable of consumer behavior and market trends, the timing for decision-making on product development, marketing strategies, and distribution relies on data accuracy on trend shifts to succeed. If insights become outdated during the development process, this could risk the success of the projects.

The future of intellectual and creative work

I went to the Microsoft AI Tour Paris last year when they announced the launching of AI Agents. The idea is for individuals to create their own AI based on the specific needs they have on their daily work.

Tasks that were once time-consuming such as building documentation, and analysing data can be partially done by an AI Agent, build by yourself for yourself in the work space, allowing us to streamline processes and work more efficiently.

On the creative side, AI may not replace the creativity of a human screenwriter or marketer. But, it can assist in generating ideas, repurposing material, and even optimizing distribution strategies for specific target audiences.

Furthermore, AI can assist creators and deciders on so many levels outside the content itself. On seeking funding, sponsors, pitching to studios, on consumer research and many more, with AI generated mood boards and pitches to present ideas and abstract concepts.

The Human-AI synergy will depend on individual action

The bottom line is that as we integrate AI tools into our daily work, it is essential to recognize the opportunity they offer to augment our capabilities. As professionals, it’s in our hands to harness the potential of AI in combination with our unique human skills. The key is to strike a balance between the analytical prowess of AI and our creativity, intuition, and emotional intelligence.

By combining talent with capacity, we can continue to provide value and drive improvement in our daily lives and work, ensuring a bright future for the entertainment industry and beyond.
